March 8, 2024
Our kitchen will be open Sunday March 17th. Come and watch the St. Patrick’s Day parade and enjoy a nice meal and Lithuanian beer. Hope to see you then.
Our new manager has resigned. After a few months, he realized that having a full-time job as a firefighter and managing the Lith Club required more hours than he could devote. In the meantime, a couple of Club directors have agreed to be acting managers on a temporary basis.
We are looking to fill this position as soon as possible. If you are interested or know of anyone who might be interested, please contact us at sblca@verizon.net or call Marius Ziaugra at (617) 970-1593. A job description is available upon request. Candidate for manager’s position does not need to be a Club member or Lithuanian speaking.
The capital improvements to the Club have come at a high cost and the global pandemic forcing the closure of our Club for several years has negatively impacted revenues. And so, today we reach out to you asking for your financial help to finish paying for all the capital improvements.
Your support and financial assistance will ensure that the SBLCA facilities will continue for many years to come and will serve not only us but also future generations of the Boston Lithuanian Community. This is a compelling opportunity for each of us to protect and strengthen the South Boston Lithuanian Citizens’ Club future. Click on the link on the right side of this page to donate.
Our 3rd and 4th floor halls are available to our members and patrons for events and functions. Please contact our manager for more information at sblca@verizon.net

Our association supports the fight for the freedom and sovereignty of Ukraine. Our country fought for independence from the same enemy. Lithuanians know what freedom and democracy mean. The impact of Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine has been devastating. As the Lithuanian American Community states, the people of Ukraine are fighting for freedom for all. Not only can we, but we must help those fighting and surviving the horrors of war. You can help by going to the Lithuanian American Community website and donating. We invite you to donate by clicking HERE. All funds raised will be used for humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

Thank you.
Joseph Auštras, President.

Established in 1899, the South Boston Lithuanian Citizens’ Association, better known as the “South Boston Lithuanian Club” or just as the “Lithuanian Club”, is the largest and oldest Lithuanian-American community organization in the New England area. The club is the center of Lithuanian-American community social and cultural activities in the greater Boston area celebrating our 123rd anniversary in 2022.
We are located in South Boston, Massachusetts, one of America’s oldest and most historic neighborhoods. South Boston, known as “Southie” by residents, long known as a working class Irish-American neighborhood also became home to Boston area’s vibrant Lithuanian-American community.
We are proud to present this site which provides general club information such as our long and proud history, the purpose of our association, membership information and how to become a member as well as event information and announcements.
